I am a seven-year trained General Psychologist with more than 4 years’ experience within Private Hospital specialist Mood and Addiction sector (AU) and private practice including extensive training in group facilitation based on Yalom style psychotherapeutic groups.
Kit teaches her clients to make simple yet radical shifts in their relationship to the thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations that contribute to stress, anxiety and depression. Her approach is solidly grounded in current psychological research, and uses traditional Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. She also uses Mindfulness-based strategies, which research shows contribute to physical and psychological health.
NZ Registered General Psychologist.
Trained in NZ, I have worked extensively in a Private Mood Disorder Hospital in Australia running Groups and Individual counselling.
